Focus on high quality sound for hotel renovation
The multi-million pound restoration and transformation of Braunstone Hall in Leicestershire has reached an interesting phase – when the requirement for the highest quality sound systems is now one of the higher priorities.
SES Technical have specified the installation of K-array speakers and amplifiers which will shortly be installed in two rooms of the stately home conversion.
“We went for the K-array systems on the grounds that not only do they reproduced an incredibly high quality level of sound, but they are extremely versatile”, said Jeff Pallett, MS of SES Technical.
The Kommander-KA84 is a 4 channel per 2000W on 4 Ohm audio power amplifier and processing solution. Each model has 4 fully independent and configurable channels. The integrated DSP offers EQ, Matrix, Levels, Delays and Limiter functions on every channel, to avoid the need for external additional processors.
- 8000 watt in just 2 rack units
- 4 analog IN and 2 AES-EBU IN to 4 fully configurable OUT
- 2 GPIO for external analog controls
- Integrated DSP with processing, matrix and delays
- Onboard touch screen for easy access functions
- Mic IN and 48V option on all IN for mixer application.
Python KP102 and KP52 speakers
Both KP102 and KP52 speakers are line array element, variable beam speakers which will be added to the Braunstone array. The vertical dispersion pattern can be switched for wide or narrow coverage, allowing for a great variety of applications.
The KP102 allows selectable 4 Ohm or 16 Ohm impedance for easier use and integration with other speakers or amplifiers. The KP 52’s selectable range is 8 Ohm or 32 Ohm impedance.
Video of the renovation project
“Two ballrooms have been added, a new restaurant is taking shape and even the new bridal suites are starting to look like the real thing” according to the Leicester Mercury, which had recently provided an updated report on the project.
